perspective aquariums
4th and 5th graders learned perspective drawing techniques using a vanishing point. They then added an aquarium or other scene above. I saw some very creative ideas!

Last one...Arts in school night
4th grade learned about South American art and was one of my favorites because the artwork turned out so colorful! we did bird masks, weavings, Tropical bird paintings, and metapec suns. 5th graders did north America and their projects also turned out very colorful. They studied Georgia O'Keeffe, Andy Warhol, we made industrial cityscapes, and Birch Tree forests. 5th grade artwork....
Tessellation Project
I recently completed this great Tessellation project with my 4th & 5th graders. This lesson was great for incorporating math and students enjoyed using the translation method to create their own tessellations.
